Stan Solo THE KNOCKER
An ode to the minimalistic yet beautiful decorative design of the early 20th century housefronts and entrances with the typical simple horizontally grooved design and tall wooden doors. It´s hard not to appreciate the warm and dusty feeling of dirty glass inserts and grunged paint. The classic golden lion head knocker brings a refreshing amount of decorative detail, gracing the whole entrance area in a manner as a jewellery piece compliments a person´s appearance. The graffiti and tags wrap up the urban vibe of the whole neighborhood, complimenting the artistic impression more than the smog of advertising and store signs would do.
Done in watercolors on A1 museum – grade 300gsm acid – free cold – pressed paper.
